Convert the Latest Trends to Grow Your Blog Traffic Multifold
Convert the latest trends within your niche to grow the traffic of your blog multifold.
In my yesterday’s post, I talked about how you can analyse your competitors to find untapped evergreen topics for your blog. That post sums up the two methods I used to find pure evergreen topics.
- Google Auto Suggestion
- Analysing Competitors
I hope now you guys will easily be able to do evergreen keyword research for your blog. If you follow these two methods for doing keyword research and publish regularly, very soon, you will start ranking.
Initially, your blogs may take a few days to index in search engines, but after a few months, you will notice that your new articles will start indexing in search engines almost instantly after you publish.
When it happens, this is the time when you should shift your focus to trend-based evergreen on top of your existing pure evergreen keyword research strategy.
As you know, if something is trending, there are vast majority of people searching for it. As a new blogger, you should leverage such trends within your niche. It will give you a sudden boost in your traffic.
Although I am suggesting to cover trending topics, I am not suggesting to start writing news articles. What I am suggesting is to convert the latest trends into evergreens. There is a clear difference between both.
I am suggesting to cover trends as evergreens and not news because news articles will get dead in just a few days. If you cover the same topic from an evergreen point of view, then even if the search volume drops after the initial few days, there still will be some search down the time.
No doubt covering trends as evergreen is good for an increase in traffic, but it is only for blogs that are already getting indexed in search engines within minutes.
If you have just started your blog, then my suggestion will not be to jump on these topics. I will highly suggest you to wait for a few months before you start leveraging trends.
I also follow this strategy on every new project I work on. I first start with pure evergreen topics; when I see that the project is now getting indexed faster in search engines, then I start doing topics based on the latest trends. This works the best, and I easily scale my traffic multiple folds within a few months.
I know some of you may be interested to know about how actually to convert trends into evergreens.
If you are not able to understand how you will do it, then don’t worry. In the coming posts, I will explain how exactly you can stay updated with trends within your niche and quickly convert them into evergreen topics. So, please stay tuned for those posts.
That’s all in this post.
