How I Progressed After My Fiverr Account Got Banned

· 3 min read

How I progressed in my career after my Fiverr account got banned.

In yesterday’s post, I shared how a mistake cost me my Fiverr account. In today’s post, I will share how I progressed after that.

Although, my first Fiverr account got banned my mind was still taking me to Fiverr because of the lucrative money I was making there. I couldn’t stop myself from creating a second account.

But this time, I wasn’t that lucky. Despite waiting for two months, I didn’t receive orders. And for a weird reason, my second account also gets banned.

Basically, what happened was I was looking for freelance writers for my blog. I got in touch with a few writers, and to avoid crazy charges Fiverr deducts, I asked writers to work outside Fiverr.

My Fiverr account was recently banned for doing similar activities as a seller. This time I was doing as a buyer. A sincere seller raised a complaint against me, ultimately getting my account banned.

After it, I got annoyed with Fiverr and stopped thinking about it for a couple of months. When my anger came down, I created my third account in Nov. 2020.

Although I created the account, I didn’t create the Gig. Later in 2021, I published three Gigs. This time, I got lucky and started getting orders.

Within two months, I was a Level-1 Seller. I was cautious this time, and that third account is still with me. I will share the journey of growing that account in a future post.

As all of you know, before starting freelancing on Fiverr, I was working on my Tech Media blog TechYorker. Initially, when I started freelancing, it was more of like a side hustle, while my business being my primary work.

But as I started getting success on Fiverr, I completely forgot about my business and started spending my entire time completing more orders. The site was still making a decent amount of money every month, but still, the freelance income was substantially higher, so I stopped focusing there.

My Fiverr account getting banned was a reality check for me. When Fiverr support didn’t restore my account, I realized I shouldn’t have completely stopped working on my business.

It is eventually my business, and I have control over it. No one could suspend me from there. So after this, I decided to start focusing more on my business.

I started looking into more revenue streams than just being relied on Google Adsense. I decided to publish Affiliate articles so I could make additional income from Amazon Affiliate. I started publishing loads of content with purchase intent.

Starting August 2020, I have kept publishing affiliate articles till today. Now Amazon Affiliate easily makes around 50-60% of our overall revenue.

I had more time to dedicate on my Blog. This time, my focus was also on a new type of content. It eventually all added up, and In March 2021, I received over 720k views on TechYorker.

In tomorrow’s post, I will share how exactly I did it. So please stay tuned for that.

Thanks for reading this one. Have a great day ahead!
