How I Get Paid 8 Rupees Per Word as a Freelance Writer
I get paid 8 Rupees per word as a freelance writer. This is how.
In yesterday's post, I wrote that I have two skills I use to work as a freelancer: WordPress and Content Writing. I further explained how I learned WordPress as a beginner and made a six-figure income consistently.
In today's post, I am writing about my other skill: Content Writing. How I learned content writing and how you can do it too. So let's start.
We all practiced writing essays and letters in school, which was no different for me. I used to write them, but there was no such thing that I had some exceptional writing talent.
When in November 2017, I created my first blog Technical Ratnesh I had no idea about writing. I was not very confident writing my articles in English, so I started with Hindi and Hinglish. The very next month, I also started a health blog and used to write content in Hindi. I kept writing on my blogs, all in Hindi.
It wasn't until 1st November 2018 that I wrote my first English article for my Tech Media brand TechYorker. That was far from perfect, but I am glad that I started.
Since then, I have written thousands of articles for my blog TechYorker. I started with Tech News, then wrote app roundups, smartphone comparisons, Processor comparisons, How-to guides, buying guides, and whatnot. Not just that, I went on to write many articles for my other blog MobilesTalk and other blogs I used to own or currently own.
When I realized I could also offer my skill as a service, I started freelancing. The first article I wrote for someone else was in December 2019, when I contributed a few articles for a fellow blogger. So, I decided to give it a try. Initially, as I had experience writing on my Tech blogs, it was much easier for me to apply and get a freelance Gig.
I got the opportunity to work with dozens of International Tech publications, including GadgetsToUse, Fossbytes, MakeTechEasier, and Stellar Data Recovery. I have worked with clients paying 8 Rupees per word or even higher.
It's been over five years since I wrote my first article on the Internet. I learned everything over time. Starting from being unable to write in English to charging rates that I would never have imagined back in the day.
Many think of content writing as a way to make a part-time income. If you can show dedication in your articles and always aim to give your best. There is no limit to how much you can earn as a content writer. It's just about getting started, practicing your skills, and always trying to put in your best efforts.

That's all I wanted to write in this post.
