How to Use Facebook to Get Direct Clients for Content Writing
This is how you can use Facebook to get direct clients for content writing.
In the last couple of posts, I talked about using Linkedin and Twitter to get clients as a content writer. In today’s post I will write about getting clients using Facebook.
Recently, you may have heard several times that Facebook is dying. It may be true somewhat as most of us have stopped using it. I was also thinking the same and was logging into my Facebook account very rarely.
But recently my misconception got changed about the platform. What I witnessed is, if used correctly one can use Facebook to build strong connections leading to getting high paying work.
How most of us have been using Facebook since creating the account. We have used it to add our family members, friends there. But we are no longer limited to the same circle. As all of us have progressed in our career in a certain industry we have many professional relations.
What you can do is add individuals in your industry as friends on Facebook. As you will increase the number of professional friends your Facebook account will start appearing like Linkedin. The friend's recommendations will also show other professionals within your niche.
I have personally tried and now my Facebook profile has more professional friends than I have in my personal life. I tried reaching out to them and many were willing to offer me freelance work. I was surprised by how well Facebook was working out for me.
Now as a content writer, create a list of top websites in your niche and start looking for their founders, co-founders, and hiring persons on Facebook. When you find them, send them a friend request and wait for them to accept. Slowly your Facebook account will have hundreds of friends who are professionals.
As you will agree, being an old social media platform most online users have a Facebook account. People who are highly successful in their career have a Facebook account.
On other platforms you may find it difficult to make a connection with them but on Facebook if you send them a friend request it is most likely that they will accept it. I tried it this year and I am confident that it works.
Once you have some professional friends there, ping them to have a healthy conversation about what they are doing. Although you are in need of work, the initial conversation should be like a friend.
After a few conversations you can ask if they need a content writer. If they have a requirement let them know that you do content writing. Share your published work and most probably you will get hired.
Not just friends, Facebook also has several groups where website owners post requirements for content writers. You can also try getting some clients from groups as well.
So, this is how you can use Facebook to get clients for your content writing services. Give it a try and you should get a few high paying clients from there.
Thanks for reading. Have a great day!
