I Started an IFSC Code Finder Website

I started an IFSC Code Finder Website.

In my last post, I shared the progress of a Tech site that I started on an expired domain. In today’s post, I will share how I started an IFSC Code Finder site on an expired domain. I will also share if it is worth starting such websites in 2023.

At some point, we all have visited the IFSC Code Finder sites. I have also used such websites in the past.

In 2021, some YouTube channels were teaching beginners to create IFSC Code finder sites, but I had no plans to start anything like it.

In October 2021, I was looking for expired domains in GoDaddy Auction and came across with a domain name ifsc-code.com.

Although I was not interested in starting any such project but looking at the domain name, I couldn’t resist myself from bidding on it. After a few bids, I won the domain name for $100. It was a good deal considering the domain name was an exact match except for a hyphen. It was 11+ years old, 25+ DA, DR, and had good-quality backlinks.

After getting the domain name, I tried selling it within my circle, but no one was interested in buying it.

I also listed it in GoDaddy Auction but didn’t receive any bid. After failed attempts to sell it, I didn’t have any other option than starting my own IFSC Code finder website.

The next challenge was either building the script from scratch or buying it. I didn’t find it worth building a new script, so I bought a pre-built one.

I found a seller online with a really good script. He was selling it at some $100. I did negotiations and got it cheaply.

After getting the script, I created a PHP application on my Digital Ocean server and uploaded the script. I did some minor customizations, and the site was ready to go live in a few hours.

The next challenge was to get Adsense approval. I applied for it but didn’t get the approval. So, I went with a different route. I removed the script for a few days, wrote a few blog articles on the domain name, and then reapplied. This time the domain got approved. I reverted the IFSC Code Finder script again.

The site was getting some 100 direct visitors from the government sites it has links to. After almost a year, It still receives similar 100-200 visitors daily. So far, It has received 35k visitors and page views of around 200k. You may be curious to know how much I made from this traffic. The revenue is only $20. It will not even compensate for the server cost.

So after running IFSC-Code.Com for over a year now. From my experience, I can safely say it is not worth starting an IFSC Code Finder website in 2023.

When I can’t get it going on such a fine expired domain, then those with a new domain will find it even harder to get traffic.

So instead of wasting your time on it, start a content website and put your efforts there. You will get much better results.

That’s it for this post. In tomorrow’s post, I will write about what I did with the Tech domain I purchased for $870 in GoDaddy Auction, so please stay tuned for that. Thanks!
