How to Use Freelancer.com to Get Clients for Content Writing
This is how you can use Freelancer.Com to get clients for Content Writing.
Hi Everyone,
In yesterday’s post, I shared my experience with Upwork offering content writing services. Alongside Upwork another very popular freelance platform is Freelancer.Com. In today’s post I will explain how you can use it to get content writing clients. So keep reading.
Those who are new to freelancing and don’t know about Freelancer.com. It is a freelancing platform just like Fiverr, Upwork. It is one of the oldest platforms starting back in 2009. Freelancer.com allows employers to post jobs on the platforms and then freelancers bid on those jobs. If you have used Upwork in the past the concept is more or less similar.
Now you have a quick idea of Freelancer.com now let’s understand how you can use it to get clients for content writing. First of all, create your account on the platform. If you don’t know how to do it there are tons of free videos on YouTube which you can watch for a complete step by step guide. Once you have created your account on Freelancer.com complete your profile by filling in important details like your skills, experience, etc.
Now, you are all set to start bidding on jobs. Go to the Freelancer Jobs page and you will find a search box there. In the search box search for content writing. If you have a certain niche in your mind like Tech content writing, finance content writing do search for it to get the job listings that are relevant to your niche.
Go through all the job listings and place your bid on the ones with a verified tag. As there are tons of fake listings on the platform I recommend placing your bids on the verified ones so you don't end up wasting your time.
While sending your bid make sure to include all the relevant work experience you have. Just like I suggested for Upwork make sure you send a customized cover letter in your bid. Suppose the client requires articles in the finance niche then provide your expertise as a finance writer. Include links of previous articles you have written in the finance niche.
Don’t just copy paste the same cover letter for every client. This is the mistake most beginners make and then complain about not getting a reply from clients.
If you bid on a few job listings there are high chances that a few clients will revert back to you. Have a conversation with them and complete the first few orders. It will help you get going on the platform. I understand it is a little challenging to get initial orders but once you have got it there will be no going back.
Most freelancers primarily focus on platforms like Fiverr, Upwork these days. So, if you give Freelancer.com a try there are high chances you will succeed.
So this is how you can use Freelancer.com to get clients for content writing. I hope you guys find it useful.
That’s it in this post. Thanks for reading. Have a great day!
